Location

Where Laguna Beach Sits on the California Coast

Laguna Beach is a 7-mile stretch of coastline in southern Orange County, bordered by Newport Beach and Crystal Cove State Park to the north, Aliso Viejo and Laguna Niguel to the east, and Dana Point to the south. Pacific Coast Highway (CA-1) runs the length of the city. Interstate 5 sits 6 miles inland and connects you to Los Angeles to the north and San Diego to the south.

The city is hemmed in by Pacific Ocean on one side and the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park on the other, which is what keeps the housing supply so tight. There is almost no buildable land left, and most new construction is tear-down rebuilds rather than new subdivisions.

The Feel

Art & Recreation

Laguna Beach has some of the best schools in the State of California and offers a family community, where everyone knows their neighbors.

Known for an active art community, Laguna Beach is home to the world renown Pageant of the Masters, over 40 art galleries, and the Sawdust Festival where local artisans display their creations twice a year.

From large public parks to small hidden coves, Laguna Beach offers some of the most beautiful beaches in all the world. This seven mile stretch of coastline is often referred to as the "California Riviera." Laguna Beach is also well known for some of the best weather in the entire country where you can bike, skate, walk, or surf, just about 365 days a year.

In the winter months Big Bear is just a two hour drive so you can actually ski in the day and be home in time to build a bonfire on the beach in the evening. If you are looking for a close knit community, abounding in natural beauty, Laguna Beach offers the perfect home for you.
